Christchurch’s Bangladeshi community members protested against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her government today, in the wake of a nationwide curfew, internet blackout and violent unrest in their home country. The protests and military intervention have led to the deaths of an estimated 114 people.
Student protests began on Wednesday (Reuters) after the Bangladeshi Supreme Court reinstated a preferential government job quotas system.
