Large Pro-Palestine March Blocks Riccarton Road Motorists
NZR has on the ground film footage of today's march that blocked one side of Riccarton Road and polls readers on the NZ government's efforts to aid Palestinians living in Gaza.
A large march shuffled its way down Riccarton Road this afternoon, to the controversial call “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” The march was followed by a slow-moving convoy of public buses and cars travelling from Hagley Avenue towards Westfield Mall.

The protests came the day after Reuters reported US President Joe Biden “threatened to condition support for Israel's offensive in Gaza on it taking concrete steps to protect aid workers and civilians, seeking for the first time to leverage U.S. aid to influence Israeli military behavior.”
