From undergraduate to PhD level study, male graduation rates have also seen a sharp drop. More alarming for UC, the data reveals a sharp overall decline in all students completing postgraduate study.

Since 2020, the numbers of males and females that have been excluded by UC since 2020 has doubled.

Meanwhile, the number of females completing an undergraduate degree have continued to rise.

What The Numbers Show

Women are out-graduating males in almost every qualification type at UC. But they also show that fewer and fewer numbers of students are going on to complete a post-graduate degree. This decline is most evident amongst men at honour’s- and master’s-level study seeing a complete fall off.

The data also shows that males graduation numbers falling across almost all UC faculties, including the fields of engineering and business, the remaining faculties where males continue to outnumber females.
