The Nigel Bom Stories: A Mother's Instinct and Locals Known to Nigel Implicated
Krystal begins her quest for the truth about Nigel's death and grows suspicious of two of his former associates. She also finds items have gone missing from Nigel's flat.
He had heard Lachlan* was bragging about killing Nigel.
“I’ve killed someone. I can do it again,” recalled Nigel’s sister Krystal.

“Hey are you able to call me. I have kept this to myself all day. And I think it’s something that you and nana need to know. I just feel more comfortable telling you. It’s about uncle Nigel’s death, something that I was told.”

On the night he went to his mother’s home he was wearing jeans and a thick black jacket. “Nigel Bom was found in black trackpants (wearing clothes that were different from what he left his mum’s house in.”

After Nigel’s body was found, toxic rumours spread of Nigel Bom’s killing like flotsam and jetsam on the sea off the New Brighton coast.
One story implicated two of Nigel’s associates, who will be called Lachlan and Cindy.

Neighbour, Tom Y, had seen Police on the day his body was found in the flat at Fred Price Courts.
He had heard Lachlan was bragging about killing Nigel.
“I’ve killed someone. I can do it again,” recalled Nigel’s sister Krystal.
Lachlan and Cindy had given Nigel a lethal injection of morphine, it was alleged.
Months later, an associate of Tom Y confided to him “they told me they put him on morphine”.
“He’d never had morphine. He went over and died. They put something over his head. …”
In the days that followed Nigel’s death, Krystal contacted Cindy and began to put together what happened prior to the discovery of his body.
Krystal thought Cindy’s behaviour had been odd.
Cindy hadn’t attended Nigel’s funeral despite being in an on-and-off again relationship with him and a long-time friend.
