In February this year, large swathes of Christchurch’s hospital campus including the Accident and Emergency department endured a power blackout. In April, Powell Fenwick provided Te Whatu Ora with its completed report.

Today, Te Whatu Ora has admitted to The Wigram to actioning less than 30% of Powell Fenwick’s recommendations and that it is still relying on an “interim solution” to remedy the critical fault that led to a blackout in the country’s second largest hospital.
